LUSH

Hi guys!
Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and have a great New Year! I know I haven't posted properly in ages, but I went on a little Lush trip and wanted to show you my favourite purchases.

I hadn't been in Lush for ages, so when I saw it in Derby I was rather excited! Through all my excitement though, I didn't buy as much as I wanted, as it wasn't the biggest Lush shop I'd been in. They also didn't have my favourite Star Wand I always buy and when I asked the woman if they'd got it and she told me it's just a Christmas special edition, but I'm certain I've bought it all year round. Anyway, I did buy some 'lush' smelling products, which I can't wait to use.

At first I just wanted a few baths bombs, my favourite smelling one is Dragon's Egg, also it's not to colourful which I like, as I don't want a bright pink bath if it can be helped, I'm not too keen on the bright ones, but I like the Dragon one as it has a splash of colour and smells amazing.

As I was looking for my favourite Star Wand, I asked the lady if they had it, and as I did she quickly persuaded me to try some soap which she said smelt the same as my the wand. I fell in love with the smell and ended up buying it.

It's called 'Sweet Soap of Mine' and is a mixture of Rockstar Soap and Godmother Soap, it smells unbelievably nice, it's like a mixture of bubblegum and vanilla, buts it's so strong it just smells amazing. As well as it's great smell, it makes your skin so soft, the woman put it on one of my hands and the difference between both hands was amazing, my hand was so so so so soft and smelt gorgeous. The price was around £6.00, but it's so worth it, I definitely recommend this... I LOVE IT!!

My second favourite was the Dragon Egg bath bomb, I love Lush bath bombs!

The smell of this is quite hard to explain, I supposes it smells like sweets, but very strong smelling sweets! As I said, I'm not too keen on really colourful ones, but this has a few little bits of colour which I like. I've never tried this one before, but all Lush bath bombs I've tried, make my skin unbelievably soft, so I'm sure this one won't fail. Lush have so many different bath bombs, this one was £3.25, but there are some cheaper and more expensive too, but go have a look and treat yourself!

Thanks for reading guys!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm back!

Hi guys!
I know it seems like I've been gone for ages, sorry, but I'm back yay! Just in time for Christmas. Also I've had a change, I didn't like my title, so I've changed it to 'Sophie's Thoughts'. It's simple and is just exactly what my blog is! Spread the news;)

I hope everyone's well and are looking forward to Christmas, I know I am! It's my favourite time of year.

So just a quick post to say him before I get back to my real blogging!

MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS, HAVE A GREAT ONE!

DIY: Cupboard Decorating

Hi guys!

I'm keeping my promise to blog at least once a week, let's hope it stays like this! I've recently moved in with my Mum's partner and had a new room, I still had to bring most of my old furniture and these old cupboards which I despise, while I waited to get a dressing table, I thought I'd give them a bit of a makeover to make them look more appealing, so here's how...

1.First cut off the material you don't want.

You need to mark out the right size for your cupboard with a pen or pencil as shown on here, make sure you leave a couple of centimetres so you can glue it.

Cut out the wallpaper where you marked it.

Glue just for extra stickiness with the good old pritstick.

After sticking it on the frame, secure it with Sellotape.

So this is what it looks like after you've done, it matches my wallpaper and goes really well, as you will have different furniture to me, so you can do this to whatever you want, it will still look good!
I hope you liked this post, it was a bit different to my others, hope you enjoyed!

It's October!

Hi guys!
I'm very sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've just got caught up with homework and other stuff, but promise to start blogging more!
Well, it's October, where the flipping heck has September gone, wow it went quick! But it is now October which means- HALLOWEEN, MY BIRTHDAY NEXT MONTH AND... CHRISTMAS! Woohoo! I love all these things, especially as they build up to Christmas and I just LOVE Christmas and everything leading up to it. Cosy nights in by the fire, the smell of Christmassy candles are the best and scary stories at midnight.

All these things are my favourite and if you hadn't already guessed I love Autumn/Winter, but I need to start setting myself some more goals firstly: I need to start posting on my blog at least once a week, I really do love it, but I sometimes just get too much homework, but need to make time for my blog. I'm going to start reading more, definitely, I used to read ALL the time and now it's like I can't be bothered grr, any recommendations? Thirdly, spend more time with friends, I hardly see them out of school and I need to see them! I'm not a sociable bunny out of school hmm.

I hope you enjoyed this little post, why don't you tell me some of your favourite things about October?

Wedding

Hi guys!
As you know I went to a wedding on Saturday and I'm very disappointed with myself! I promised myself I'd take a lot of photos and one of my whole outfit and make up to show you, but I only took a few and the outfit and make up one wasn't one of them. I just had such a good time and got lost in the excitement of it all I basically forgot to keep taking photos! Stupid me, I know, but I still did take a few and here they are....

The beautiful bride, the groom and family!

The cars were gorgeous,

The amazing bride and groom.

I think the wedding cake is just so pretty.

I did take a picture of my nails though!

Breadsall Priory, hiya George...

The sweet stall my Auntie did, isn't it great!

Just a few photos of me and family now...

Dress- New look
Ring- New Look
Necklace-Accessorise
What can I say, a cheap but brill outfit! Haha

That's it guys, I would like to thank Alex and Paul to inviting me to this amazing day, I had a great time and wouldn't have missed it for the world, I'm so happy for you both! Congratulations and good luck!

Wedding Preview

Hi everyone!
I am going to a wedding on Saturday, ooh exciting, and I'm showing you some of the things I'll be wearing and using, but will be showing my full outfit and makeup on a different blogpost after the wedding!

As I love turquoise I have a dress with a bit in and all my accessories, like my shoes and jewellery are  turquoise.

I have never tried Primark eyelashes before, so I thought I'd give them a go, on my nails I've used an orangey red, as my dress has a hint of this too! I'll be wearing my favourite Armani perfume and my Fat Hair hairspray (need extra hold).

My base for my eyeshadow  is the BOURJOIS eyeshadow.

My choice of eyeliner is my new Master Precise liquid eyeliner!

As this is only a preview, it's only a quick flick through things, the full post will be soon!
Keep checking!

Liebster Awards!

I have been tagged for Liebster, by the great Francesca, who runs Bella Momento, visit her blog here-

You have to answer 10 questions, then create another 10 questions for the people you have picked, to answer. It's a good way for lesser known bloggers to get to know each other.

The questions I was asked:

1. What is your favourite time of year? I'd have to say winter, I love big fluffy coats, cosy nights in cuddling up by the fire and most of all CHRISTMAS!

2. What is your favourite memory? This honestly took me about half an hour to think of, I don't really have one that sticks out, but probably when I go to Wales every year in October, it just gives me this warm feeling inside and you can take great pictures there too!

3. If you could be someone else for a day who would you pick? As most people know, I love Joe Hart  to death, I know it's a weird one, but I'd love to be him for a day, see what he does, how he is, I just love him.

4. Whats your must have beauty product? MaxFactor False Lash Mascara, I wear it everyday, never go out without it.

5. What can you not live without? Well I can't live without my camera now, photography is all I do now, in my spare time!

6. When did you start blogging? I started blogging a while back, I couldn't decide what I really wanted to blog about, but I started this blog about a month ago.

7. Why did you start blogging? I started blogging as I think it's a way to keep readers entertained and it's a way to express myself, but most of all I love it!

8. What is your favourite item of clothing? Probably would be my Soul Cal jacket I've worn it to death, nearly every weekend.

9. Who is your fashion icon? I have a lot, but if I had to say, probably Cara Delavigne.

10. Who inspires you the most? I know it's a bit predictable, but probably Zoe Sugg from Zoella, the
amount of hard work she has put into her blog, and how succesful she has became is just amazing to me!

Random Next Buys

Hi guys!

On Saturday, I visited Frankie & Benny's in Nottingham, which is in a complex, when we finished eating we had a cheeky look in Next, and yes I did end up buying something. Oops.

Now everyone knows that Next's make up range isn't classed as one of the best, but I thought I'd give it a go, as I didn't want to completely dismiss it. They were fairly cheap, which always makes me cheerful:-)

The first thing that caught my eye was this 'Glam' EAU DE TOILETTE. The only reason it did catch my eye, was because it looked a bit tacky, but as soon as I sprayed it, that idea completely went out the window, it smells lush. It's quite a strong smell, it's  maybe not for everyone, but I definitely love it! I won't be using this on a daily basis, maybe just throw it in my school bag for when I need a spray, haha! We all need a spray now and again. I would definitely try this out as it was only £6.00 from Next.

The second thing I bought was this lovely palette, I liked the look of this, as I'm not a really colourful eye person and just like nudes mainly. I thought this was really pretty and as this is only £6.00 aswell, it's a complete bargain. It goes on very well and is quite pigmented, it also stays on for quite a long while. You can't expect everything from a gorgeous coloured, well pigmented, Next product, that was only £6.00, but it's pretty great quality! I can't find this palette on the Next website, but I'm sure if you go in your local Next, you'll find it, it's part if the CASHMERE range!

So that was part of my random Next buy and only spending £12.00 and getting great quality products is a pretty good shop in my books!

BarryM Gelly

Hello!
As I have become very obsessed with nail polish recently I thought I'd do a review on my favourite colours at the minute. The BarryM Gelly range is quite new to their collection and I've worn theses colours to death, I just love them.

I have them in colours Greenberry 322 and Papaya 316 and plan on getting more! The only downside is mine do come off and chip quite quickly, I don't know if that's because of how many layers I put on and they just peel off or what it is, but it seems to happen to all my colours I put on, so maybe it's just me, haha, I'm sure all of you are a lot better at painting nails than me!

It does look great though, it's very Hi-Shine and has the effect of a top coat without having to put a top coat on. I put about three coats on, so i recommend you try two first, as three don't work for me,  as i said, but I would definitely give these cool colours a try!

Enjoy!

Maybelline Popsticks

Hello everyone!

As a new product, these cool, neon Maybelline Popsticks seem to be quite a big hit as there hasn't been many 'lipsticks' like these until now!

I bought these on a random trip to Superdrug and wanted one as soon as I saw them. The colourful, transparent stick totally drew me in. They smell delicious (and taste good too, but I don't advise actually eating it haha). The only thing that is a bit of a downer from all these great things, is that it is not really pigmented that much, if at all. It is more of a lipgloss, than an actual lipstick. I would use it on maybe a day where you want to be that little bit subtle.

As I said it smells nice, which is something that a lot of strong pigmented lipsticks don't have, so if you want a day of nice smelling lips then these are definitely the answer haha! I have it in the colour 060 Citrus Slice, purely because I thought it was the nicest smelling one!:)
